You will see various spellings of this surname, such as Favre, Fevre, Favel,  Faivre, Fevere, & Favier. To keep things simple, starting with all of Alexandre  Faivre`s decendants I listed this surname as Favier only. Since that is how  this whole Perry County, Missouri part of the family in the USA spells it like  that now. Please also remember I have gotten much of this information from the  internet, family members, & my own research. Also this family was difficult to  work with because they seemed to interchange their first & second names quite a  lot! Like one time a woman`s name might first appear as Jane Mary then, for  example, on the Social Security Death records she will appear Marie Jane or  Mary Jane.
